Summer Al Hamdani

Teaching & Outreach

Full details and history can be found on my CV, which is available upon request. UW Madison Mentorship & Leadership

Currently, I am an organizer for Gender Minorities in Math at Wisconsin (known affectionatively as GmMaW). I'm also involved with math outreach activities within the department.

In the past, I was an organizer for the Graduate Analysis and PDEs Seminar (GAPS, because we aspired to close the 'gap' between qual courses and the other analysis seminars). This seminar was intended to be accessible (i.e., requiring at most Math 721 [measure theory]) for first- and second-year PhD students. I previously was a mentor for the Undergraduate Mentorship Program and a Graduate Peer Mentor. During the summers of 2023 and 2024, I was one of the graduate mentors for a group of undergraduate students for the analysis REU at UW Madison. The projects combined elements of complex analysis, harmonic analysis, and approximation theory.
